Combat Tweaks and Other Things v.0.3.4


This week, I was working on making tweaks to the combat system, trying to make it more engaging and satisfying to play. I also finished up the functionality of the mind room, adding all of the functionality mentioned in the last post and a bunch of other small things. Combat will now be based on a 3-hit combo system.

Completed:

  • 3-hit combo system framework
  • Functionality to have the last hit in combo have special features
  • Dissolve effect for enemy deaths
  • Custom physics for dropped items
  • Ability unlocking and upgrading
  • Updated UI (Started)

Still needs work:

  • More polish to the combat (various particle effects, etc.)
  • Finish updating UI
